Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the NotepadX application and this website handle information. NotepadX is committed to keeping your data private.
The NotepadX application
- Your files stay local. Documents you open or create are stored on your own device. The app has no telemetry and does not upload your documents.
- Local history is stored on your device only.
- Cross-device sync is optional and, when enabled, writes session data to a cloud folder that you choose and control (such as iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive). NotepadX operates no server and receives none of this data.
- AI features are optional. When used, your prompt and the selected text are sent directly to the AI provider you configure, using your own API key, which is stored on your device. NotepadX does not proxy or log these requests.
This website
This website uses the following third-party services:
- Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymized traffic (pages viewed, approximate region, device type). This site also shows ads via Google AdSense — the NotepadX app itself never shows ads. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Cookies
This site stores a small local preference for your chosen light/dark theme. Analytics and advertising cookies are set by the third-party services above.
Advertising
This website shows ads served by Google AdSense to keep NotepadX free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings. The NotepadX app itself contains no ads.
Your rights
Because the application collects no personal data, there is nothing for us to export or delete on the app side. For website analytics, you may control cookies through your browser settings and the opt-out links above.
